Trekking the Kokoda track is a challenging and exciting adventure, pushing the limits of physical and mental fitness. The Kokoda track is located in some of the most remote jungle in the world, therefore, having an appropriate medical review and planning prior to the trip is essential.
At Next Gen Health Care we are dedicated to ensuring you are as prepared and safe as possible by completing these checks:
- Pre-trip medical assessment and clearance
- Immunisation checks and recommendations
- Malaria prophylaxis discussion and recommendations
- Scripts for appropriate medication
- First Aid kit packing

Our Travel Medicine Nurse Practitioner Ben has completed the Kokoda track multiple times as a trip medic. Treating both trekkers and locals alike, and has hands on experience and knowledge of what is required before, during and after your trip.
